Lamb in Rice Crust

Ingredients
- 500 g lamb
- 300 g rice
- 1 large onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 carrot
- Spices to taste (salt, pepper, cumin)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 700 ml water
Preparation
- Prepare all ingredients. Cut the lamb into pieces, finely chop the onion and garlic, and grate the carrot.
- In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil. Sauté the onion until golden brown.
- Add the lamb and fry until browned.
- Add the carrot and garlic, then add the spices. Stir and simmer for a few minutes.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 1 hour.
- Add the rice, stir, and bring to a boil again. Lower the heat, cover, and cook until the rice is done.
- Serve hot, garnished with greens if desired.
