Hetman Borscht

Ingredients
- 500 g pork
- 2 medium beets
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 3 potatoes
- 150 g cabbage
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cloves garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Herbs for serving
Preparation
- Boil water, add meat, and cook for about 1.5 hours.
- While the broth is cooking, prepare the vegetables: grate the beets and carrots, chop the onion and potatoes.
- In a skillet, sauté the onion, then add the carrot and beets, and cook until soft.
- When the meat is ready, remove it, cut into cubes, and return it to the pot.
- Add the prepared vegetables and potatoes, and cook for 20 minutes.
- At the end, add the cabbage and tomato paste, and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
- Before serving, garnish with herbs.
