Italian Bread with Cheese, Olives and Herbs

This recipe invites you to create a delicious Italian bread filled with creamy cheese, olives, and fresh herbs. Its aroma and texture will make it the perfect addition to any dish.

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g cheese (mozzarella or any other)
  • 100 g olives (black or green)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Fresh herbs (basil, parsley)

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt, making a well in the center.
  2. In a separate container, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the dissolved yeast and olive oil to the flour and knead the dough.
  4. Place the dough in a warm place for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
  5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle, sprinkle with chopped olives, cheese, and herbs.
  6. Roll the dough up and place it seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Let the bread rise for another 30 minutes, then bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Serve the bread warm; it's an excellent option for a snack or as a side dish to main courses.
