This is a simple and accessible recipe for a Lithuanian potato dish - potato sausages "Vedarai". This dish, known for its pleasant taste, is often prepared in Lithuanian homes.

Ingredients

  • yellow potatoes - 1 kg
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper, ground - to taste
  • minced meat - 300 g
  • regional herbs - if desired

Preparation

  1. Peel the potatoes and onions, then grate them.
  2. Mix the grated ingredients with minced meat, add salt and pepper.
  3. Form small sausages from the resulting mixture.
  4. Boil the sausages in salted water until cooked through.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with herbs if desired.
