Fish Pie with Potatoes
This delicious and hearty pie is perfect for any table. You can use any fish, and potatoes are ideal for the filling.
Ingredients:
- 500 g fish (salmon, cod, or others)
- 300 g potatoes
- 1 small onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the dough:
- 400 g flour
- 200 g butter (or vegetable oil)
- 1 egg
- 100 ml water
Preparation:
- First, prepare the dough. Mix the flour with the butter, add the egg, and gradually incorporate the water to knead the dough.
- Leave the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, peel and boil the potatoes, then mash them into a puree.
- Peel and finely chop the onion. Fry it until golden brown.
- Cut the fish into small pieces, season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the fish with the potato puree and sautéed onions.
- Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out one part into a circle and place it in the mold.
- Place the filling on top, cover with the second part of the dough, and make a small cut for steam to escape.
- Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
- The pie is ready; let it cool slightly before slicing.
