Fish Pie with Potatoes

This delicious and hearty pie is perfect for any table. You can use any fish, and potatoes are ideal for the filling.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g fish (salmon, cod, or others)
  • 300 g potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the dough:
  • 400 g flour
  • 200 g butter (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml water

Preparation:

  1. First, prepare the dough. Mix the flour with the butter, add the egg, and gradually incorporate the water to knead the dough.
  2. Leave the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, peel and boil the potatoes, then mash them into a puree.
  4. Peel and finely chop the onion. Fry it until golden brown.
  5. Cut the fish into small pieces, season with salt and pepper.
  6. Combine the fish with the potato puree and sautéed onions.
  7. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll out one part into a circle and place it in the mold.
  8. Place the filling on top, cover with the second part of the dough, and make a small cut for steam to escape.
  9. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
  10. The pie is ready; let it cool slightly before slicing.
