Rye Accordion Cookies
A fantastic recipe for creating rye cookies in the shape of an accordion. This cookie combines an original appearance with an amazingly tasty balance of rye flour.
Ingredients
- 200 g rye flour
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 150 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the rye flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the soft butter and mix well until crumbly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg with the vanilla extract, then add to the flour mixture and knead the dough.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Roll out the dough into a thin layer, cut it into strips, and form into rolls.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
