Herring and Potato Salad
We present to you an incredibly tasty and hearty salad, which includes herring, potatoes, fresh cucumbers, and eggs.
Ingredients:
- 200 g herring
- 3 medium potatoes
- 2 fresh cucumbers
- 3 eggs
- Onion (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Mayonnaise
Preparation:
- First, boil the potatoes in their skins until cooked, cool and cut into cubes.
- Clean the herring from skin and bones, cut into pieces.
- Wash and slice the fresh cucumbers.
- Boil the eggs hard, peel, and chop.
- In a large bowl, mix all the chopped ingredients.
- Add mayonnaise, optional onion, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix thoroughly and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serving:
Serve the salad on a beautiful wide dish, and optionally garnish with herbs.
