Recipe for Braised Meat with Potatoes and Linguiça Sausage

Ingredients

  • 500 g meat (pork or beef)
  • 3-4 potatoes
  • 150 g linguiça sausage
  • 1 large onion
  • 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into pieces and fry it in heated vegetable oil until golden brown.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Peel and cut the potatoes, then add them to the meat and onion.
  4. Slice the linguiça sausage and add it to the other ingredients.
  5. Pour water over all the ingredients, enough to cover them, and add salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and simmer the dish on low heat for about 1 hour, until the potatoes are soft.
