Dutch Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- 500 g white bread
- 1 l milk
- 4 eggs
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 50 g butter
- Raisins to taste
Preparation
- Cut the bread into cubes and place in a baking dish.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk with sugar and butter until dissolved.
- Beat the eggs with vanilla and gently pour into the milk mixture.
- Pour the mixture over the bread and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
- Add raisins and gently mix.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40-45 minutes.
- Cool and serve.
Tips
For an extra flavor, you can add cinnamon or lemon zest.
