  • Creole seasoning 1 Teaspoon

  • Cooked rice 4 Cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of red kidney beans
  • 1 cup of long-grain rice
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • Spices to taste: cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper

Preparation

  1. Soak the beans overnight in water.
  2. Cook the beans until tender, then set aside.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and green pepper.
  4. Add the spices to the vegetables and mix well.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Add the beans and simmer on medium heat for another 10 minutes.
