  • Butter 30 Grams
  • Flour 2 Tablespoons

  • Milk (skimmed) 1 3/4 Cups
  • Cream (low-fat) 1/4 Cups
  • Cream cheese 120-140 Grams
  • Grated Parmesan cheese 1/3 Cups
  • Cooked bacon (optional) 3-4 Slices

Sauté in vegetable oil over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes, then transfer to a plate. Cook the penne according to the instructions, draining, but reserving half a cup of the pasta cooking water. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Gradually add the flour, stirring constantly, and cook for one minute. After that, add the minced garlic. After 30 seconds, stir in the milk and cream, always mixing. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the cheese, stir until smooth, and then incorporate the penne.
